Hofgarten (Court Garden)
A park in the Italian style.
The Hofgarten is a park in the baroque style in the very heart of Münich, made from 1613 to 1617 by Maximilian 1st. The main entrance is through the Hofgartentor designed by Leo von Klenzes, both sides bordered by arcades with the German Theatre Museum on the North side. In the middle of the park is a pavilion, with the temple of Diane designed by Heinrich Schön.
