Theatinerkirche - Theatine Church

Baroque Art.
Majestic, colossal, the Theathinerkirche is the very epitome of the baroque style. Inside this this church you will be surprised to find that white dominates with a simplicity that fascinates visitors.
It was built on the initiative of Prince Ferdinand and Princess Maria Henriette Adelaide of Savoy, in honour of their son Maximilian. Built in 1690 by Augusto Barelli, he took his inspiration from the church of San'Andrea della Valle in Rome and from Enrico Zculla. It is in 1768 that the yellow rococo façade was added. The stucco columns of the Theathinerkirche, however, are by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi.
